May 17

Smooth landing. Picking up things, including those small "gifts" we got because of having purchased an extra package with our plane tickets: champagne, wine, a "comfort kit", priority check-in counter on departure, and on arrival, priority baggage delivery. Of particular interest to us were the last two points; the first was achieved but the second was a total fiasco. Not sure that we will try it again.

But you know what?
It's sunny and I'm HOT. I've been waiting for weeks for this.

Pickup of the car is very efficient. Directly after we stepped out of the baggage claim area, a driver was waiting with a sign clearly identified. As Roger hugged Françoise (of course he did), who'd come to pick us up and lead us to her house, I went to the driver and identified us. I am currently writing from the shuttle that takes us to the Peugeot dealership.

And here we are. It is a very nice small car (small car, hmmmm...), absolutely brand new, and Roger says the transmission is far better than that of the CSX. Don't tell him I told you he'd said so.
